1.5 Practice & Exam Tasks


The practice files for these tasks are located in the Objective 1-5 practice file folder. The folder also contains result files that you can use to check your work.


  • Open the Access_1-5.accdb database, and...

1. Open the Access_1-5 database from the practice file folder and do the following:

1.1. Open the Customers  report from the Navigation Pane, and then display the report in print preview. Change the margins to Wide.

1.2 Export the Customers  report to Word (use the Rich Text format option).

1.3 Export the Customers  table to Excel.

1.4 Save the Access_1-5 database as a template. Save the template in a custom category you create named MOSAccessSamples.

      • Tip: you will be required to provide a name for the Template - use the database name. All templates are saved in the user's AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\Access folder (hidden by default).

  • Your practice folder should now contain the database and the files: Customers.rtf and Customers.xlsx. 
  • You can open the  Access_1-5_Results database to check your work.

On the Products form, set the row spacing of the printed form to 0.5in (1.27cm). Save and close the Products form.

    • Tip: use the File > Print > Print Preview to access the Print Preview of the form.
