Practice Tasks

The practice file for these tasks is located in the Objective 1-7 practice file folder. The folder also contains result files that you can use to check your work.

1. Open the PowerPoint_1-7 presentation and do the following:
  1. Start the slide show, and then switch to Presenter View and move to slide 3.
  2. Set the pen color to bright blue, and then underline the word shared on slide 3.
  3. On slide 3, erase the line under the word shared. Then highlight the word in light green.
  4. On slide 6, use a red pen to draw circles around the two instances of External and the word internal.
  5. End the slide show and retain the annotations. Save the annotated presentation as MyNotes.pptx.

2. Return to the PowerPoint_1-7 presentation and do the following:
  1. Rehearse the timings for the presentation, spending as much time on each slide as it takes for you to read the content. Save the slide timings.
  2. Create a custom slide show named Managers that includes slides 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 10.
  3. Play the Managers slide show.
  4. Edit the Managers slide show to add slide 11.

3. Save the PowerPoint_1-7 presentation.

4. Open the PowerPoint_1-7_results presentation. Compare the two presentations to check your work.

5. Close the open presentations.


Exam Tasks

Setting up a slide show

  • Configure the show type as Browsed by an individual and advance slides Manually.

Creating a custom slide show

  • Use slides # through # to create a custom slide show named "Example".

Note: ...slides 4 through 8 = from 4 to 8, including 8 = 4,5,6,7,8 = 4-8
