1.3: Practice & Exam Tasks

The practice file for these tasks is located in the Objective1-3 practice file folder. The folder also contains a result file that you can use to check your work.

Practice Tasks

1. Open the WordExpert_1-3 document and do the following:

1.1. Turn on change tracking.

1.2. At the end of the first paragraph, insert the text The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

1.3. Move the second paragraph so that it comes after the third paragraph.

1.4. In the fourth paragraph, delete the first sentence (“Themes and styles also help keep your document coordinated.”)

    • Tip: to select a sentence Ctrl+click in the sentence.

1.5. Select the option to format insertions with a double underline.

1.6. At the start of the third paragraph, insert the text Actions speak louder than words.

1.7. Select the option for balloons to show all revisions.

1.8. Insert a comment related to the document’s title. In the comment, enter the text Please verify.

1.9. Mark the comment already in the file as resolved.

1.10. Accept the revision you made to the first paragraph. Reject the deletion of the second sentence in the first paragraph.

2. Save the document.

3. Open the WordExpert_1-3_results document. Compare the two documents to check your work. Then close the documents.

Exam Tasks

Open the Objective_1-3 document and do the following:

Accept all insertions and deletions. Do not accept format changes.

Τips:

  • Φροντίστε να ξεκινήσετε την αναθεώρηση από την αρχή του εγγράφου (Ctrl+Home).
  • Φροντίστε να εμφανίζονται όλες οι αλλαγές ως balloons - είναι πιο εύκολος ο εντοπισμός (Review tab, Tracking group > Show Markup > Balloons > Show Revisions in Balloons).
  • Ο πιο γρήγορος τρόπος να γίνει αυτή η άσκηση:
    1. Review tab, Tracking group > Show markup --> βεβαιωθείτε ότι είναι ενεργό μόνο το Insertions and deletions (ενώ τα Comments και Formatting είναι απενεργοποιημένα).
    2. Review tab, Changes group > Accept list > Accept all changes shown (έχετε λοιπόν αποδεχθεί όλες τις εισαγωγές/διαγραφές κειμένου αλλά μόνο αυτές, αφού μόνο αυτές ήταν εμφανισμένες).
    3. Review tab, Tracking group > Show markup --> βεβαιωθείτε ότι είναι ενεργό μόνο το Formatting (ενώ τα Comments και Insertions and deletions είναι απενεργοποιημένα).
    4. Review tab, Changes group > Reject list > Reject all changes shown (έχετε λοιπόν απορρίψει όλες τις μορφοποιήσεις αλλά μόνο αυτές, αφού μόνο αυτές ήταν εμφανισμένες).

Under the heading "Section 1.3", add a comment to the second paragraph that reads "Different formatting necessary.".

Tips: Να έχετε εμφανισμένα τα σημάδια μορφοποίησης (Formatting symbols) ώστε να είναι πιο εύκολο να εντοπίσετε τις παραγράφους. Επιλέξτε την παράγραφο με τριπλό κλικ ώστε να είστε σίγουροι ότι έχει επιλεχθεί ολόκληρη.
